Indian Society of Geomatics (ISG) and Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS), the two premier professional bodies join together every year to organize a National Symposium on relevant theme.
This year’s theme is “ i-Geoinformatics an Integrated Technology to Empower Citizens for Self Reliant Nation”, which will provide opportunities to address significant scientific finding, which moved the possibilities of humankind to a brand-new level. Using geospatial technology is comparatively inexpensive and simple, while its possibilities are next to unlimited. Applications of geospatial technologies are incorporated in almost any sector, industry, or research where the location is important. Identification of geospatial data enables monitoring, tracing, measuring, assessment, identification, or modeling. The innovation helps to find answers to many questions arising in multiple industries and sectors. At the dawn of its development, the data access and its application scale were limited.
Nowadays, geospatial technology importance went far beyond cartographic or military needs. The importance of geospatial technology is equally recognized by common people and giant corporations. It serves to fulfill both strategic and minor tasks like tracking atomic submarines or sharing one’s location with a friend. The scope of geospatial data use is vast: the list includes geography proper, ecology, tourism, marine sciences, agriculture, forestry, marketing and advertising, military forces, navy, aircraft, law enforcement, logistics and transportation, astronomy, demography, healthcare, meteorology, and many others. It enhances the performance of artificial intelligence and smart machinery in multiple spheres.
Expansion and new application solutions are expected in bio security, education, construction, engineering, ecology, food supplies, precision agriculture, financial market, statistics, transportation, to mention a few.
Original unpublished research papers, covering one or more sub-themes are invited for presentation. Authors may submit extended abstracts within 1000 words (a picture will be considered 200 words) in the prescribed format online through the symposium website. The last date for abstract submission is extended to 3rd December, 2021. Abstract volume of the symposium shall be brought out in digital form.
Sponsors and exhibitors will benefit from the unique online exposure to eminent delegates and decision makers involved in the broad field of geospatial technologies. For further information and discussions regarding sponsorship and exhibition oppurtunities, please contact sponsors by writing an email to us @ isgisrsnsldh2021@gmail.com.
The organizing committee facilitates the participants to submit their original research work as a full paper. The selected research papers after peer review process will be published in the special Issue of the Journal of Geomatics. The selection and invitation for full paper submission for Journal of Geomatics will be made based on the evaluation in the symposium.
The best papers and posters in both student as well as general categories will be awarded from the papers/posters presented in the symposium
